working categorical data in eviews

Hi,

I want to estimate an ordered probit and logit model where the independent variables are categorical but i can not define them in eviews as categorical. I define the data in valmap, also. But again it used them as ratio scale. How can i define them as categorical.

Example of my categorical data:

color year
Red 2 Less than 5 1
Black 5 5 to 10 3
Green -1 more than 10 5
