I used open/Foreign workfile to try to load an Access database (*.mdb). I get the error message "ODBC Error unable to connect to driver: ."
Any hints? Could this have to do with having recently upgraded to Office 2010?

Re: ODBC Error
Can you access your Access file using ODBC from any other application (such as MS Query)? I'm pretty sure this was working on our Office 2010 Beta install so I'd have to guess there's something interesting about the installation on your machine.

Re: ODBC Error
I have no trouble reading the file in Access or in Excel. I do get the same error using an unmentionable econometrics program from Texas. It is quite likely there is something about my setup despite my having done plain vanilla installs. Any suggestions of what I might do?

Re: ODBC Error
Yes, try installing the new Access 2010 drivers explicitly. You can download the setup file from Microsoft here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
Then, after doing this, re-create a new DSN using the new driver (oh, maybe that's your problem -- did you re-create your DSN?) and then try it again with EViews.

I'll bite, what's a "DSN" and how does one re-create it?Yes, try installing the new Access 2010 drivers explicitly. You can download the setup file from Microsoft here:
