simultaneous equations in panel data

Postby kelaynak » Tue Mar 30, 2010 1:35 am

Hello,
I am dealing with 3 simultaneous equations in panel data. Actually, I am planning to use dynamic panel model in simultaneous equation,if suitable. If not, static panel model

1) In eviews 6, there is 3SLS (three stage least square) for simultaneous equations in panel data (in system object).
Does it follow the approach of Baltagi (1981) EC3sls method (Error component three stage least square) or just 3sls?

2) In some paper and book, there is no clear explanation for 3sls or GMM is suitable for dynamic panel data model (lagged dependent variable among the regressors), only for static panel data for simulataneous equation system? What do you think?

3) what is more reliable method for dynamic panel data in simultaneous equations?

4) In future update of Eviews, willk there be an update fo fixed effect in simultaneous equation for panel in Eviews 7 (just clicking or choosing an item). At the moment, I should write all of them manually by using dummmy variables. It takes too long time.

Thank you very much for yor help and concern

It is just standard 3SLS.

There is no current plan to add panel features to system estimation in EViews 7.
