We are considering using Factset. I'm wondering if EViews supports the factset database? I know, for example, that equity prices, index values, and tickerized portfolio returns can be directly imported from Bloomberg into Eviews via code (example, below).
Bloomberg example code:
fetch(link) bloom::"RU1ELCTR Index"
Does EViews support similar code for Factset?
I found some mention of factset in the EViews Command and Programming Reference, but I do not see Factset listed as a database on the drop down list of available databases in EViews. I also see Factset listed under EViews Enterprise Third Party Data sources here:
https://www.eviews.com/EViews10/Enterpr ... Party.html
Essentially, I need to know whether or not I can rewrite programs that call out to Bloomberg to instead call out to Factset?
I am running EViews 13 Enterprise Edition
Many thanks
K

Re: Factset and Eviews
You might be better off asking Factset. I believe they wrote the connector.
