when i try to make balance panel and imported the data
the ascii text import appear and i can't use the workfile to enter my panel data
how to solve it?
please help me

i try to test random or fixed effect model, so i make a balanced panel, but when i imported the data, the ASCII text import dialog box appeared, and i can configure where data should start

Which version of EViews?
What does the source file look like?
How are you importing the file?
What does the destination workfile look like?
Etc...

Help us help you.

Ideally, why not provide the files?

i imported then choose the read option

READ cannot open .xlsx.

Use Import or open instead.
