Run a regression with multiples dummy variables

Postby na11 » Mon Jul 04, 2016 4:19 pm

Hi,

I need to run a regression with multiple dummy variables as follows:
CAR National Top
6.24% 1 0
-2.96% 1 0
8.77% 1 0
-0.57% 0 0
-15.86% 1 0

Do I need to identify my variables as dummy (all columns are 1 and 0, the software should recognise)? I've got a "syntax error"

Many thanks in advance.

No, you don't need to tell EViews they are dummies.

You're probably doing something else wrong, but without knowing what you're doing, we can't say what you're doing wrong.

What do you have to write to run the regression?
independent variable - "Car"
dependent variables - "National", "Top"

Do I have to write "Car c National=1 Top=0"?

Thanks
