Access Coefficient in Excel?

Postby kcaron » Tue Dec 01, 2015 3:30 pm

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to access the coefficients from an EViews regression formula in Excel?

I have the Excel Add-In but I don't see where I can get anything but the raw data series dumped into Excel.

Thanks again!

Kevin

You'd have to export them from EViews, rather than import them from Excel.

Can you tell me a little more? When I've got the regression equation object open I see Object>Store to DB... This seems very interesting but I can't seem to make it work.

From the equation, hit the freeze button, then on the resulting table, right click and select Save to Disk.

Oh... That wasn't what I was hoping for.

I was looking for something more "automatic" so that the coefficients stay current in excel whenever the underlying eviews equation changes...
