Forecast Don't Insert Actuals for Out of Sample Observations

I'm new to this and still trying to find my way around some basic stuff... Sorry for the silly questions.

I know I can uncheck "Don't Insert Actuals for Out of Sample Observations" in the forecasting dialog box, but I'm trying to make my forecasts using formulas instead.

How would I instruct EViews to "not insert actuals" using a formula like this? seriesx_eq.forecast yhat yhat_se

I basically just want the forecast series to go into the future and not back into the past...
