I've been using Eviews 8 with Parallel and Maverick for a long time.
Three weeks ago I installed Yosemite instead of Maverick and I have lots of problems running Eviews.
I anyone sharing this awful experience?

Re: Using Eviews 8 with Parallel and Yosemite
Could you provide more details on what the problems are?
Re: Using Eviews 8 with Parallel and Yosemite
My configuration is:
Yosemite
Parallel 10
Windows 7
Eviews 8.1
It seems to me that there is not a regular pattern for this error. I can open and work with work files and programs. Sometime when I close work files, or run one equation or in other situation I could not describe since there is a regularity of the error, the page became gray with a small yellow triangle on top left and the computer basically stops. The only to start again is to make "Force Quit".
As far as I remember I did not have this error before Yosemite but downgrading the operating system should be pretty inefficient and not very easy.
Thanks

Re: Using Eviews 8 with Parallel and Yosemite
Try uninstalling and reinstalling EViews. It is very possible that upgrading your OS removed some files that EViews is dependent on.
Re: Using Eviews 8 with Parallel and Yosemite
I have uninstalled and reinstalled EViews. The problem is still there. I should probably (re)install the previous
operating system (Maverik), disinstalling Yosemite.
It is a long process and I would really to take advantage of Yosemite using Parallel and Eviews 8.1
I do not think id a problem between Parallel and Yosemite but rather between Eviews and
Parallel/Yosemite. I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter

When you used Mavericks, did you use Parallels 9 or 10?
Is your copy of Parallels up to date as well?

"When you used Mavericks, did you use Parallels 9 or 10?"
Not sure. Probably Parallels 9 but I might try to understand checking my Visa (i.e. when I updated the computer)
"Is your copy of Parallels up to date as well?"
Oh YES.
I am so depressed..

Re: Using Eviews 8 with Parallel and Yosemite
Based on what you have said, this sounds more like a problem with Parallels. I would contact them.
See http://kb.parallels.com/en/121895 and http://kb.parallels.com/en/122647
Although they say you do not need to recreate a new virtual machine, I would create a new one using Paralells 10 on Yosemite.
