Edit variable names in equation without re-estimating

Postby gmcatee » Mon Nov 03, 2014 9:45 am

I have a question about equation objects. If I want to change a variable name in the workfile, I also have to change it within any equation object that uses the variable. The only way I have been able to do this is by re-estimating the equation with the new variable name, however I'd like to keep the coefficients the same (our data are frequently revised so the coefficients will change). Is there a way to update the variable name in an equation object and keep the same set of coefficients?

Thanks
