Automatic chart update
Hi, I have a few time series in a group. I have charts from the group and I have frozen charts with automatic update. However, the data in the group has changed but chart does not update automatically or if I click update button. Can you tell me what the problem is? Eviews 8 enterprize.

Can you provide the workfile?
Re: Automatic chart update
I noticed that if I update underlaying series in the group, chart updates. My group has transformations (ratio of one series over another), if I change the formula in the group, chart does not update.

Re: Automatic chart update
If I am understanding the question correctly it has to do with what defintions are stored in the updating graph. I believe that the graph object that you created uses the definitions at the time the graph was created. That is, if you have a group
x y x/y
and create an updating graph from it, the graph inherits the definitions in the group at the time it was created. It does not define itself in terms of the group object. Thus, changing x or y will change the values in the graph, but changing the definitions in the group will not.
Note that this behavior allows you to define a temporary group, create an updating graph from the group, and then delete the group.

Re: Automatic chart update
I have another question on charting. I have multiple pages with series with different frequences. Is there away to select or open charts together from separate pages? Is it possible to store charts from multiple pages on one page dedicated to charts only? Thanks.

Re: Automatic chart update
Yes, but not if you want them to auto-update.
