EViews has stopped working (have to close)

Help please ..
I tried to view 'Dated Data Table' - EViews 8 responded that some problems have occured in processing and it has to close.
This happened after I sampled the data to exclude observations with a major variable = 0 using "smpl if not(size=0)"
View 'Dated Data Table' worked okay with full (no sampling) data

What's the build date of your copy?

Build date - is this the date shown under Help/About EViews .. it is Jun 13, 2013.
