I have been working on a model and have put in the equations. I need to know how to solve for the steady states?

You might want to read through Jean Louis Brillet's book on modelling in EViews. It covers steady states, I believe.

ok thanks for that. thats some really good info.

Although, I am currently having a problem related to space limit and i still need to further add the scenarios and compare the change in exogenous variables with the baseline. Is their any way i could copy the data and continue with working on my file.!

Also, does any one find this software annoying in the sense that if you open a new work file and put in the same equations as you did in the previous work file, it some how doesn't work! WHY?
it says for e.g.: *g not defined*

yes i know i do have since I have used it before in different work file

and currently i am trying to input the below function:

y=demand +g-t+e*k

but it isn't accepting "demand" although the same function i have used previously and this time its accepting g.
It sometime accepts and sometime doesn't. Its random based.

There is almost certainly nothing random about it. But without knowing exactly what you're doing, and seeing you workfile(s), it is hard to know what you're doing wrong.
