So I'm estimating the equation
osai osn cust gas exm pla rpa hwq apq as uid s abw pks fls avh npp br wm ff csa pbc pbu wtbu ea a educ y hhy
Where osai and csa are both qualitative variables that cannot be converted into quantitative measures.
Error Message "Alpha series in specification - OSAI; @EXPAND can convert into categorical dummies"
Awesome, sounds great! But is it as simple as:
@expandosai osn cust gas exm pla rpa hwq apq as uid s abw pks fls avh npp br wm ff @expandcsa pbc pbu wtbu ea a educ y hhy
Because that provides a syntax error. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thank you!

Re: Qualitative dependendent/independent variables
You can't have a qualitative variable as the dependent variable.

Re: Qualitative dependendent/independent variables
Any idea how can I run a regression to see what variables influence operating system adoption? I'm a student.

Look at the help on probit and logit.
