Hi,
I'm not really sure how to do this, because I'm new to Eviews. I'm running Eviews 6 Student Version. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Re: Forecasting deleted observations from a data set using O
Delete the values, then open the equation, hit the forecast button, and enter the forecast sample as the observations you deleted.

Re: Forecasting deleted observations from a data set using O
Hi Gareth,
Thanks for the advice! I ran the regression, and then I opened up the observations and deleted the ones that needed to be deleted, but I'm not sure where to enter them in the forecast menu.
The only likely box would be "forecast sample" and it says something like "1 2000". If I deleted observations 1701-2000, would those be the ones I enter into the box?
I did that, and I got a graph which shows the new forecasted values. Is there a way to get the numerical values as well as the chart?
Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

A new series was created in your workfile. By default it has the same name with an "F" after it. You can open it up to see the forecast values.
