Binomial Logit Regression

Postby Jeddi » Wed Sep 12, 2012 12:05 pm

Hi
I am quite new to econometrics and Eviews and working on binomial logistic regression. I am confused and unable to interpret the results which I get from eviews that whether the results I get from the model are the results of whole equation P= 1/(1+e^(-(α+βX)) ) or they are just the results of the alpha+ betaX in the brackets? If it’s the estimates of alpha+BetaX then how can I complete my equation to get the value for “P”. I have no instructor, so I will be grateful if you can help me out as I have not much knowledge of econometrics and Eviews.

Best Regards,
Jeddi

The output you get is the b.

Use the forecast procedure to get the fitted probabilities, P *or* the fitted indices, a+bX.
