How can I extract the forecasted data from Eviews?

Postby flyingpig » Fri May 25, 2012 8:51 am

Hello all, I am a first year undergrad student who just learned EViews. I have a question here , please help me.

After I forecast the data, I want to extract the forecasted data, but how can I do this? And besides, what is the difference between 'dynamic' and 'static' forecast? :?:

Assuming you have performed a single equation forecast, by default the forecasted values will be saved as a series in your workfile called "YF" (where Y is the name of your dependent variable).

If your equation has dynamics in it (i.e. Y depends on previous values of Y), then the difference between static and dynamic is whether you use the actual previous value of Y (static), or if you use the forecasted previous values of Y (dynamic).
