Windows XP to Windows 7

Postby tgoodwin » Thu Dec 01, 2011 12:22 pm

I just upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. I have version 7.0 enterprise edition of eviews. When I run one of my command files I get this error message:

Internal Error 500 in "MATRIX RANKS_{%X}_TR = @COLRANKS(@TRANSPOSE(MAT_MOM312))"

When I run the same command on an XP machine it runs fine. What is the problem and the fix?

Thanks, Tom

It is almost certainly not related to moving from Windows XP to Windows 7. It might be due to you not updating your copy of EViews on the new machine to the latest version. Failing that, it is hard to tell without seeing the program and corresponding data.

I downloaded 7.1 and the problem resolved. :D Should I download 7.2 while I am at it?

You should always keep your copy of EViews as up to date as possible.
