Importing large transposed dataset

Postby PacNW » Mon Aug 15, 2011 12:05 pm

What would be the most efficient way to import a text file data table into EViews that is constructed the following way:

45 columns = weekly dates
78,000 rows = observations of data by a listing ID

I'm having trouble with the fact that the data is transposed from the way that is easily readable into EViews.

Thanks!

You can use the READ command (or File->Import->Read).

But, to be honest, the easiest thing to do is to transpose the data outside of EViews first.
