Hi!
I would like to copy a histogram i generated in EViews in a Word document.
A month ago I did so, and it worked fine by copy+paste.
But today, I cannot copy the graph and paste it into Word and I really don't understand why.
Also if I want to take a screenshot from EViews, it doesn't work.
Is there a security option that's switched on that I don't know off?
Thanks alot for your help!

Re: Copy graph
No, there are no settings that should affect that. I can't think of any way that you could have stopped copy and paste from working.

Re: Copy graph
Hello there,
Always thanks for your help.
I want to copy and paste my residual graphs from eviews to word. What I am very keen is that I WANT TO COPY AND PAST THE SPECIFICS COMBINATIONS OF YEARS AND NUMBERS THAT I HAVE. Meaning, When I click in my eveiws graphs it gives me a specific combination of years in horizontal axis and numbers in vertical axis, but when I copy the graphs to word and try to do, it doesn't work. I really need help how can I do this as well in word documents.
All the best

Re: Copy graph
If you are using a current version of EViews, it should use the same labeling method when you copy the graph.
However, if you are referring to something other than axis labeling or the problem persists with the current version of EViews, please include an example.

Re: Copy graph
Dear Pamela,
Thanks for your answer first. Sorry for my explanation as was not explained well. I have no problem on labeling and/or cope and paste the graph from eviews to word. What I need is that, in EViews graph when I click or put my mouth in any point in the residual graphs for example, it gives me the exact combination of the x axis and the y axis ( in my case year with month in the X axis and price in the y axis), for example, if I put my mouth some where in the graph I got (1999.04, 40), as the same time when I move my mouth a bit far, it shows me (1999.05 , 60). This is how it looks in the soft ware. However, when I cope the graph to word even if I labeled the X and y axis correctly, it doesnt show the exact combination of number the x and y axis even if I slowly run my month in the graphs in the word documents.
My question is that, does it any method available to know the exact combination of X and Y axis between lines in word documents just like what I have in Eviews? I am using Eviews 7 soft ware.
Thanks for your help.,

Re: Copy graph
The popup showing x & y coordinates is an internal feature of EViews. When you export the graph to another application (Word), the interpretation of the data is no longer under EViews' control.
Consider the exported graph simply an image. Active popups are not available outside of EViews.
