I ran a long program yesterday and wanted to hit the minimize box, but EViews seemed to be too busy computing to check for the minimize message.

Any idea what it was in the program that was taking a long time?

I did 10,000 ARMA models, but the real time was the 10,000 state space estimates.

If you run the program and hit F1, does it break?

It does. And I may have been wrong about minimize not working. The issue may be that the cursor doesn't change out of the hour glass when you're pointing at the title bar.
