good day
my research is on the economic impacts of rural - urban migration on employment and household income. before i estimate my logit model of employment given migration, i would like to control for sample selectivity bias. it has come to my attention that to do this i will have to first estimate a probit model of migration and from results obtained from it estimate my selectivity bias control variable. herein lies my problem. could i please get assistance on how i can calculate the Inverse Mill's Ratio using Eviews. i must add that before i registered to the portal, i went through the forum and all the suggestions given regarding this particular problem and they are all greek to me..LOL. if it is it at all possible, i would appreciate a much easier walk through on the calculation of the Inverse Mill's Ratio in Eviews that doesnt include programming. Thank you

Re: Inverse Mill's Ratio
dare i ask: is stata better than eviews?
Re: Inverse Mill's Ratio
You can follow the steps, which do not require any programming, described here: http://forums.eviews.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=31it is it at all possible, i would appreciate a much easier walk through on the calculation of the Inverse Mill's Ratio in Eviews that doesnt include programming
The answer would be same for:dare i ask: is stata better than eviews?
"Is Windows better than Mac OS?" or
"Is Princeton better than Stanford?" or
"Is Ferrari better than Porsche" or
"Is VECM better than VAR?"
It depends...

to trubador:
could you explain how to calculate this Mill's ratio for such "special" individuals as I am...please?
