Help for a beginner

Does anyone know how can I construct a histogram for a series of x?Also,how can I create a new variable y such that: y = 200 – .1x (where x is another (series) variable)? I am using eviews 6.Thanks a lot!

double click on the series, then choose View/Descriptive statistics

series y = 200- .1*x
