Dividing dated panel by a factor within the panel

Postby jrpzhu » Thu Oct 13, 2016 3:50 am

Hello, I am working through the panel data examples in Eviews Illustrated chapter 11. In particular, I was wondering how I can replicate the kind of charts on page 290, showing GDP per capita of countries relative to the US. Does anyone know how this was done with the Penn World Tables sample data included in the standard Eviews installation? Basically, in the PWT61Extract.wf1 file, how was the series Y (GDP per capita as % of the US) created from the RGDPL (GDP per capita values) data?

Many thanks in advance!
