This thread is about irrval add-in.
The add-in allows you to compute internal rate of return for a series of cash flow. It makes use of the optimize feature of EViews, so will not work unless version 8 or higher is installed in your machine.
Please read the documentation for further instructions.
PS: Thanks to Javier (javiersan) for bringing up the issue and constructing the initial version of the estimation model.
Edit: As pointed out by dagfinnrime, there is a problem with output argument. Use "result" instead of "results" to store the final value of irr when calling the add-in from the command line.

Re: irrval
Hi
1) if download irrval via the add-ins menu in EV13 you get the one-sided HP-filter add-in by the same author. You have to download the package from add-in list on web.
2) I don’t get the command-line versions to store results. It saves «status», but not the scalar result. The menu alternative works as expected.
