qualitative dependent variable

Postby Imen » Sat Feb 05, 2022 3:03 pm

Hello,
I want to estimate a model using data from a survey (n individuals observed o two points of time). My dependent variable is qualitative and the independant variables are quantitative and qualitative. Are there please any innovative methods to estimate this model other than the multinomial logistic regression.
Thanks a lot

Not sure why a multinomial logit doesn't work, but there is of course also the multinomial probit.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I don't proceed to the estimation. I think that it's ok with the multinomial logit but I wonder if there are any other more innovative techniques to deal with qualitative models other than classical methods (probit/ logit).
