Unable to locate license manager

Postby Finn » Sun Jun 23, 2019 7:34 pm

Hi,

I received link given below to download the package for the upgrade of Eviews to version 11 as currently I am using Eviews 10.
But it stated there that it's unable to locate the license manager for Eviews 10. Please advise.

You'll need to speak to your system administrator. We cannot tell you where your local license manager is.

Thank you.
Is it possible to activate the license offline?

Depends on the license.

Look in your EViews program directory for a small text file named "lisource.txt". Open than using Notepad and it will contain the local server name (or IP address) of what EViews thinks is your license server. That may give you a clue as to why EViews can't find it. Unless your new serial number is identical to a previous serial number, you must find your license server, run the management console on it, and then register the new serial number.
