Re: Slope Dummy Variables Error Message NEAR SINGULAR MATRIX

Sure this is the equation:

dlog(i15) c dlog(yp15) dlog(gcum15) dlog(gcum15*d80) log(i15(-1)) log(yp15(-1)) log(gcum15(-1))

I attach workfile.

Re: Slope Dummy Variables Error Message NEAR SINGULAR MATRIX

Thank you for your response. I did not use any specific command (e.g. @expand to create categorical dummy variable). I simply added an additional variable to the model which is the multiplication of my variable G with a time dummy D80(0 before 1980, and 1 after 1980). The command line is the followi...

Slope Dummy Variables Error Message NEAR SINGULAR MATRIX

Dear eviews community, I am having an issue using a slope dummy variable in my time series regression. I create this variable by multiplying my variable of interest (total government expenditure, 1960-2013) with a time dummy to test for a structural break in 1980. Hence, my time dummy has the value ...

Change Keyboard Language

Hi there, I am trying to find out if it is possible to change the keyboard setting regarding the preferred language in Eviews 8? At the moment all my keys are in a different place since I am normally using a German keyboard and the standard setting in Eviews seems to be American. Is there any way to...

Hey again,

does anyone have an idea please? I cannot find anything related to this in Eviews manual or text books. Thank you.

Autocorrelation Test in a Seemingly Unrelated Regression SUR

Hi everyone, I have estimated a system of 15 specifications using seemingly unrelated regression. Looking at the estimation output some of the specifications show DW values of 1.4 which indicates autocorrelation. How do I test for this in a SUR? The only thing I could find under Residual Diagnostics...

Re: BP Chisquare test of SUR system estimation

Hi again, I guess my question is too general. I have actually now calculated the Breusch Pagan Test indivudally using the correlation matrix from the OLS regression given in Eviews and compared with the Chi-square critical table values. I assume there is only an uppertail test for this? The command ...

BP Chisquare test of SUR system estimation

Hello, I have created a system estimation using SUR method. I would like to test the null hypothesis of independence using a Breusch Pagan test and chisquare distribution table values. How can I do this in Eviews? I have tried to use the command window with @chisq(x,v). I assume that x represent the...

Error meassage when reading file

Hi guys,

I receive this error message when I try to open my Eviews file: "File does not meet .WF1 workfile specification. See also screenshot in attached document. Any suggestions? I had done some work in this file and would like to recover it.

Thanks,
Thomas

I literally took the command you provided. So it is the first line with level 1. I attach the screenshot. Thank you...
