Bloomberg Database
I just upgraded to 8.1 and wanted to import data from Bloomberg, where I have BBG Professional installed and active. But when I go to Open-->Database, Bloomberg is not one of the options in the pulldown and I can't seem to get a fetch command programmatically to pull down a series. Do I need to init...

For Eviews 7, how do I program WFSAVE to save and overwrite a workfile without prompting me in the midst of the program if I want t...

Looping in Fetch command
I'm trying to loop through two strings in order to download series via Macrobond but can't figure out how to get the quotations marks and spaces correctly. So for example, instead of: fetch(d=mb) "ih:bl:ussw2 bgn curncy" "ih:bl:cdsw2 bgn curncy" "ih:bl:ussw5 bgn curncy"...

Re: Retrieving a String from Excel?
Thanks for the help. At least I know I'm not missing the simple option. The @elem would work without too much pain I would think, unless it can't handle alpha series? I thought of something like the below on the way home and was going to try it out when I'm back (using @ilast in the loop as the elem...

Retrieving a String from Excel?
Hello. I am trying to speed up the process of filling the strings in a set of programs I have in Eviews 7. Is there a way to fill a string in a program by wfopen/anything else from an Excel 2010 .xlsx file as you would with normal series? For example, if I have a columns in Excel like this? %vars1 %...
