Re: Slow Population of Tables
Thanks, here is the code to the smallest table: ......................................................... pivot_output_sh(1,1) = "Year" pivot_output_sh(1,2) = "Country/Region" pivot_output_sh(1,3) = "Source" pivot_output_sh(1,4) = "Concept" pivot_output_sh(1,5...

Slow Population of Tables
I'm running a program that fills relatively large tables using for loops. The tables are at least 50,000 x 4, but can be as large as 200,000 x 4. The tables are taking at least 30 minutes a piece to fill-up. But the whole program, with three large tables, used to run and complete in less than 5 minu...

Issue When Calling Matlab or R from EViews for Long Program
I am calling either R or Matlab from an EViews program. I have found that if the R or Matlab scripts take longer than one minute to complete there is a dialog box that pops up which says something to the effect of "server busy", and gives an option to "switch to" to "retry&q...

Re: Slow Least Squares Estimation Due to Lags
I'm not sure, but I think I figured out the problem. After your message I stopped allowing the program to automatically search databases (Options: DB registry), and now it works very quickly. Thanks for looking into this so quickly.

Re: Slow Least Squares Estimation Due to Lags
That is what I thought. I've attached the program, I've tried it on two different machines and it is very slow in both cases. About halfway down you'll see some loops where I estimate several equations with the lags changing dynamically. When I type in the lags manually (for up to 6 lags) all of the...

Slow Least Squares Estimation Due to Lags
My apologies if this topic has been covered before, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere on or off the forum. I am running EViews 8, but have also tried this on EViews 7. In various contexts I want to estimate many equations and their lags, so for example I want to try the same equation with one la...

Re: Extracting Equation from Eviews to Excel
"It is. See the @subst data member of an equation. Put it in a table, and save to disk as a .csv which can be read by Excel."
Is there anything similar for use with the one or more equations of a VAR object? Or possibly a workaround if such a command does not exist?
Thanks
