That's too bad; although it sounds like you should always graph frml objects then.
Can I ask when these features may get added?

Re: Graph Object Update
Hi! I am currently using Eviews 7, and I was wondering if Eviews 8 made improvements in the handling of series in graph objects. In particular, can you create a graph, format it, and then go back and edit the original series (or change them). For example, let's say we have: graph @pcy(gdp) @pcy(cons...

Re: Suggestions: Temporary files + Object orientation
Shell and spawn would do it! Thanks -- and including it in the index + list of program commands would be most helpful. Since you've exposed the OS via Eviews, can I suggest that you go the next step and create a "OS" object, where you could access folders, files, and environment variables?...

Re: Suggestions: Temporary files + Object orientation
Great to hear on #2! Do you have a list of "standard" properties/methods? On #1 -- as far as I can tell in Eviews, you do not have a lot of interaction with the filesystem. You can save/open/import data, but that is it. You cannot delete or rename files (or execute commands through a shell...

Suggestions: Temporary files + Object orientation
I've bumped into two problem recently, where I'd like to do the following: 1) Create a program "on the fly", run it, and then delete the program (because it is only a "temporary" file); 2) Refer to a list of objects on a page, but I don't know their names in advance. For #1, can ...

New Objects and Workfile Upgrades
Having used Eviews for a while, I really like the new workfile with a "multipage" concept. However, I'd like to also suggest a number of new ideas to improve/upgrade the workfile: 1. Allow cross-referencing of objects across pages. I don't understand why I can pull objects "on the fly...

Graph Object Update
I love the graph object -- but there are a number of areas where I'd like to suggest some improvements (beyond just the shading issues mentioned in another topic). 1. Have an option to have the Graph object either be "live" (and linked to data) or the ability to edit the series. I hate cre...

Re: Command Window Improvements
I have to second the request -- the command window is really showing its age. I'd like to suggest a number of things (plagiarizing from above..): 1. Line-by-line commands 2. Save to log-file 3. Detachable window (why force to the top?) 4. Better indication of "where" you are (it is not alw...
