Hello,
Is there anything similar in Eviews to the matlab function nchoosek?
I have a small set of potential independent variables for inclusion in a probit model and I would like Eviews to print me a list of all possible combinations. Is this possible?
Thanks

Re: Generalised Impulse Response Functions and Variance Deco
Hi,
Only just seen this. I didn't make any further attempts but I may return to it in the New Year. How have you got on?

Re: Generalised Impulse Response Functions and Variance Deco
And it's not possible to recover the necessary objects to construct it with a programme either?

Re: Generalised Impulse Response Functions and Variance Deco
I am none the wiser.
I am trying to do something based on this (pages 3 and 4). Is their expression (1) not a calculation of a variance decomposition based on the generalised impulses of Pesaran Shin?

Generalised Impulse Response Functions and Variance Decomp
Page II:470 of the user guide: "Note that since non-orthoganal factorization will yield decompositions that do not satisfy an adding up property, your choice of factorization is limited to the Cholesky orthogonal factorizations." I don't really follow this. If we are willing put up with th...

Reading data from Excel sometimes crashes E-Views
Hi,
I have written several programmes which read some data from .xlsm files.
Sometimes these work fine. Sometimes the reading part of the very same programme causes E-Views to 'encounter an error and have to close'. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have the latest updates.
Thanks,
James
