signal predictions in multivariate state space estimation

Hi - I'm using Eviews 14 to estimate a state space model with 3 observables. Each signal series is driven only by its own hidden state variable, but the shocks to the states have a covariance structure, which I'm estimating by default (using evar statements). If I generate the signal predictions (ge...

Re: Graph option addtext

Hi - I've failed a couple of times to add text to an existing graph. Eg

stepls_r2s_graph_{%depvar}.addtext(t,"R-squareds")

sits within a loop over {%depvar}. I can, eg add legends within same loop, but the addtext command produces no results.

Grateful for any suggestions

Thanks

Stephen

Damn that guy Gates.

In the mean time, any thoughts on the non-functioning popups?

Re: old style help screens!

Gareth - Thanks - Not sure I entirely understand. The help screens were previously integral to Eviews. Windows made that impossible? Well could you at least give some tips on how to make the cross-page links work? Eg, on the unit root page there appear to be links, as follows: Cross-references See &...

old style help screens!

Have just switched to 6.0 and am very discontented with the new help system. The old system was invaluable to a regular user, like me, with a poor memory. While there were some quirks, once you were familiar with it I could quickly find commands and functions, both old and new. The "related top...

partially functioning help screens

The new help system in 6.0 seems to work very imperfectly (quite apart from being very badly designed) Within pages there are various links that appear to allow clicking and linking to related topics, but these don't work on my machine (despite following instructions on Java and allowing pop-ups). A...
