Re: ChatGPT integration
Yeah, had a similar experience. It confidently gives you code which is certainly not an Eviews code. Honestly, one reason I am asking is also the perspective: Quite afraid that in few years younger kids will be unwilling to code in anything for which they cannot use CHatGPT (or other LLMs) as...

ChatGPT integration
Hi guys,
Just curious if there are any plans to navigate the new world of coding with ChatGPT. I tried but seems like ChatGPT does not know Eviews. Is that the case? Any plans to change that? Not sure it depends on you, of course.

Date of maximum/minimum value of series
Hi all,
Is there any smart way of extracting a date of a maximum or minimum value of series. We found a workaround with setting sample and then using @strdate, but seems inelegant and complicated.
Thanks!

Ok, version problem then. Thanks for looking into it and sorry for this intermittent and ultimately useless conversation.

Illegal specification for the convergence tolerance - Error using {eq}.@varlist
I have got following error when accesing @varlist member of equation object:
Illegal specification for the convergence tolerance.
Interestingly, it is "self-fixing". Running the same command again does not return the message anymore.

X13 returns NAs
Hi guys, I think there is a small issue with x13 functionality - I think when the name of series is too long (not sure what is the exact limit) then x13 just returns series full of NAs.

Re: Remove rows/columns from matrix
I get error that @droprow is not a member or procedure of vector/matrix. Is there potentially unaddressed bug?

Re: Using Git when programming add-in
Ah, that's a smart idea! (Not sure why I am surprised). Especially since the addin command now includes the nowarn option, which I did not realize.
If you have example of Git hook you have in mind, feel free to share, it goes outside the scope of my (very limited) Git knowledge.

Re: Simulations: Add-factor interaction with ARMA errors
Actually, now I re-read your reply and I just wanted to make sure one thing. You said "add factors are not treated as innovation shocks even in stochastic solves". But what about stochastic innovations themselves, do they interact with ARMA errors? (That is: If the stochastic innovations a...

Re: Simulations: Add-factor interaction with ARMA errors
Thanks Mat. Can I brainstorm with you an idea? 8) We had to develop our own stochastic simulation code in Eviews to give us flexible control over some of the functionalities, which means I could implement a solution to address the issue with ARMA errors propagation. That said, I am not sure how to b...
