Re: Receiver operator characteritics
That is outside the scope of what we can provide here. Is there a way to get EViews to produce a graph of the prediction power of my model. According to the results, with no model, if we pick at random the chance that we guess correctly is 32,15 %. WIth a model I am correct 52,58 %. Can the program...

I need descriptive statistics
I need to get the 1st and 99th percentile for my variables. Can Eviews 9 do that? So far I have been able to get only the statistics shown in my screenshot.

Re: Receiver operator characteritics
Sadly I have no idea with creating EViews programs or coding...is it okay if I tell you the name of the variables and you create the code yourself?

Receiver operator characteritics
Dear forum users, I have an equation where the dependable variable is a dummy so I perform a logit regression. I have to main independable variables and some controlable variables. I need to estimate what % of the time my model predicts correctly and also see the receiver operator characteristics: h...

Re: How to generate new series based on existing ones
A regression only uses the observations in the current sample. So if you have defined the sample you want there's no need to define new variables. Ok, so how do I make what I need? Preferable a new sample with another name Assuming you have set up the workfile with a panel structure, so that EViews...

Re: How to generate new series based on existing ones
Creating a new series makes no sense. Simply set the sample to be the observations you're interested in. How you set the sample depends on how the data are structured in your workfile. If I am using this sample already for regressions, isnt it better to generate new series? Mind is unstructured/und...

Re: How to generate new series based on existing ones
My assignment is basically this: Perform a regression on firms that raised a significant amount of common equity (equity at time t >1,05equity at time t-1) with firms that raised a significant amount of straight debt (total debt at time t >1,05total debt at time t-1) The second regression should com...

How to generate new series based on existing ones
Hi there. I am using EViews 9. I need help with the following issue: I have a working file with yearly observations and 2 variables - first I have the names of companies and second I have the amount of their total assets. I need to generate 2 new series where 1) only those observations where compani...
