Re: nonlinear panel estimation

You're missing a "*" between the coefficient and gdpc1000, With regards to the insufficient observations, and changing results, they're probably down to what you have as starting values - pay attention to what is in C before you estimate. How do I specify starting values??? I did not see ...

nonlinear panel estimation

I am trying to do a simple nonlinear estimation and I get many errors, mostly "insufficient number of observations". Moreover, sometimes I am trying to re-estimate a previous estimation and I get "Near singular matrix). It may be my machine, but I am attaching the workfile, just in ca...

Dynamic Panels and GMM

This may be a naive question, but how can one estimate (calculate) the value of the constant in this case?

R and adjusted R square decrease when I add a variable

Panel data, EGLS estimation. I add a variable both R and adj. R decrease. I run an omitted variable test, the variable is significant. The number of obs does not change (8 periods, 28 consecrations, 140 obs). Any idea why is this happening? Thanks,

differenced dependent variable

This is a simple question, sorry if it is naive. I am estimating:

y-y(-4) c x1(-4)

Do I write:

y-y(-4) c x1(-4)

or

y-y(-4) c x1 (if eViews changes the reference year by default)?
