Thank you for your question. Here is the model: :eq_rpcetotto_jpn :eq_ratepubtot_jpn :eq_rateopprv_jpn @IDENTITY rpcepubto_jpn = ratepubtot_jpn * rpcetotto_jpn @IDENTITY rpceprvto_jpn = (1 - ratepubtot_jpn) * rpcetotto_jpn @IDENTITY rateopprv_jpn_2 = @recode(rateopprv_jpn + rateinprv_jpn >.99 , (.99...

Re: Log of non positive number

It looks that way, as you can see the equation estimates below: Dependent Variable: LOG(RPCETOTPER_JPN) Method: Least Squares Date: 07/06/15 Time: 12:27 Sample (adjusted): 1995 2015 Included observations: 21 after adjustments Variable Coefficient Std. Re: Log of non positive number

Hi Gareth,
Yes, this is the equation:
equation eq_rpcetotper_jpn.ls log(rpcetotper_jpn) c log(rpcetotcur_jpn) log(gdprcap_jpn)

Thanks,
Jing

Re: "Equation does not have estimates"

I would get "insufficient number of observations" error message. When I check the history data file, (this indicator being a ratio of two indicators) there are no missing values. However, in the work file, the derived ratio only contains one observation.
