How does one transform the negative data in order to execute log transformation.
I understand we need to add in a constant - but an example would be very helpful.
Equation: LogYt=β1+ β2 LogX2t + β3 logX3t+ ut
Data X3 contains negative values, so what would the command or procedure be.
