What is the command for lagging an independent variable that I also take the logarithm on?
For example: If have the variable pbeef, when estimating an equation, do i write log(pbeef(-1)) or how should it be written?
also, when Writing log(pbeef) is natural or base ten logarithms used?

Oh, ok. Yes, paste as Eviews workfile. Is there any simple way I can get around that? It's really not much data.

Oh, also I'm not actually using excel but open office Calc. Dont know if it has anything to do with it.
The Year kolumn is the only one beeing interpreted as a numbers series.
