merge graph series and smoothed markov switching

Postby meg00 » Wed May 16, 2018 8:09 am

hi
I am a new user of eviews. I have estimated a Markov switching regression and obtained the graph of the smoothed probabilities. Now I want to sum the plot of the origianal series to the graph of the smoothed. I tried with the merge command but it said that it is impossible as the graph of the smoothed is not a time series. Is there any solution to my problem?
Thanks in advance

After the estimation, proc/make regime results will create a series for you.

yes.. but what about the graph? I would like to mix the graph of the original series and the graph of the smoothed probabilities!
thanks again

open a group with both series and graph them.

Hello,
I am running MS model. I can compute the filtered and smoothed probabilities in case of stable regime and unstable regime. however, I failed to get shaded area that shows a tendency of switching from a stable regime to an unstable regime. may you please help me how can I run in eviews.
regards
