hi,
I am using eviews9 enterprise version. When I tried to save some files, the program is particularly slow and stuck on saving for at least 3-5 mins. It happens to some files, not all, which is strange
Also, when doing OLS, the program slows when I use syntax like variable(x to y) -- instead, if I change to variable(x) variable (y), that problem does not appear. (x, y here specifies time, such as -1 to -12 and etc.)
Is anyone having the same issue? The program still works but just takes too much time running
Thanks

Re: slow when saving pages/ doing estimatino
Tomorrow morning the EViews folks are likely to ask you two questions.
(1) Are you saving the files to a network drive, rather than a local drive?
(2) What is the build date of your copy of EViews?

Regarding the first question, I have similar problems, see further viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9981

I'd also like to know:
1. How large is your workfile (file size, number of observations, number of series)
2. When you save to the network, is the folder being hosted by a Windows server or something else? Is this a cloud drive?
3. If you save the file locally, then manually copy the file to the network location, how long does the copy take?
