Ctrl-C

Postby jlbrillet » Tue Apr 14, 2009 6:57 am

Hello,

On my computer, using Copy, then Paste repeatedly, each Ctrl-V takes a lot of time (several seconds) even for small strings (like three characters long).

Maybe it comes from my computer, but this happens only with Eviews.

Hello,

Any time I edit a .prg file. But it seems to happen essentailly with large prgs. Like 20k+. And if I repeat the Ctrl-V quickly.

That is probably caused by the syntax colouring (it takes a while for it to catch up if you paste into a large program). If you turn off syntax colouring you should find it speeds it up.

There was also an update patch posted some time ago which sped up pasting. If you havent already updated your copy, please do so.
