Hi
I have encountered a possible bug when stacking and unstacking variables in Eviews. The error has only surfaced in the past month and I suspect this was after I installed the patch from March. In am currently using Eviews 7.2 with the patch from April.
Anyways, my problem is the following: When I stack a number of variables and make a forecast in panel framework - then my forecast are for some reason not recognized when unstacking these again. I have tried to exemplify the problem with the attached workfile and program.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards
Rasmus

Re: Stacking bug
Note a bug, rather a "feature". When unstacking, EViews will automatically determine whether a variable is a panel variable or a non-panel variable, with the difference being "does this variable have any difference between cross-sections". If there is no difference between cross-sections, EViews will only unstack it into one variable, since it seems pointless to create many variables that are all identical.

Re: Stacking bug
thanks for the prompt reply. I am a bit puzzled why all the forecast are identical - are the fixed effects not taken into account when generating the forecast?
