Say we have two graphs, each with a title added with the addtext command.
If we merge those two graphs with the merge command, the new graph shows the titles correctly. We then add a title to the merged graph, again with the addtext command. So far all is well. The merged graph shows an overall title and the original titles for each of the two panels.
If, however, we use the merge command again to merge two graphs constructed as just described, then the original titles for each panel remains, but the overall title added on top disappears. I am not sure if this is normal behaviour or a bug.
See the attached file as an example. It contains several graphs identified by three-letter country codes. Each has been constructed by merging the _low and _high graphs of the same country and the country code was added as an overall title to the merged graph. Try merging several of these charts together, for instance
graph test.merge usa jpn
and you will see that the USA and JPN titles drop out of the test graph.
I am using the Jan 29 2019 build of Eviews 10+, but the same behaviour occurs in previous versions (e.g. 9.5).

Re: Missing titles in merged graphs
This may be intentional. We will take a look and post back what we find in the next few days.
