ardl syntax error

Using functions (@pcy, @movav) in ARDL estimation yields syntax error

workfile m 1998 2020
series a = nrnd
series b =nrnd

equation ecm.ardl @pcy(a) @pcy(b) @
freeze(req) ecm.ecreg

LOG(@MOVAVC(ser,3)) still yields error message
