EViews 7 flames out on Matlab

I am running Matlab 2009b.
Open EViews, open an existing workfile,

xopen(type=m, case=lower)
'Matlab opens and log window appears
xput age
'EViews has encountered a problem and needs to close.

EViews dies. Matlab is alive and has received the age variable.
I'm running XP.

Good catch. This has been fixed in the build dated Jan 14, 2010 (latest patch).
