There is a bug in the Eviews File Menu when using keyboard keystrokes as opposed to the mouse (some of us shun the mouse for the accuracy and speed of the keyboard where we can). Typing Alt + F, O, P (File - Open - Programs...) should bring up a file open dialog box pointed to the default directory, but it does not.
This is because two different events in the "File - Open" sequence are assigned to the letter "P" according to the menu underscoring, and the second one, "File - Open - Programs in Add-ins Folder..." is the one that gets executed. It would be preferable if typing Alt + F, O, P executed the sequence "File - Open - Programs...", and say "typing Alt + F, O, A" executed the sequence "File - Open - Programs in Add-ins Folder..."
It would be great if these two separate events could be assigned distinct keystrokes. Thanks.

Re: Fix Needed in Eviews File Menu
Noted.
Personally I always use Alt-F, and then the arrow keys to move around the sub menus. But I'll get that one fixed.

Awesome, thanks!
Re: Fix Needed in Eviews File Menu
Any progress on this small menu fix? I like to minimize key strokes (and old habits die hard)...
Thanks.
Thanks.
