Should it be possible to call a subroutine from the command line? Suppose the behavior is defined as EViews creating a hidden program file with one line consisting of the call and then executing that program.
I suppose some thought would have to be given as to what the implicit "Include" would be.

Re: subroutines from command line
Where would the subroutine be defined?
Perhaps you could have the subroutine defined inside a program file somewhere. But then how would you refer to that particular program file? I guess we could add some sort of registry containing a list of programs to be made available at all times. We could then let you define your own keywords to refer to each program. Perhaps even let you define a menu item for them too. The only question then is what we would call these ADDitional INputs.

How about if we call them "plus-ins"?
