Hello,
Does anyone know how to mix a stacked bar for multiple variables, with one variable with a mixed line?
ex. graph c1.bar(s) var1 var2 linevar
where var1 and var2 are stacked bar charts
Bar(s)/mixed with line

Re: Bar(s)/mixed with line
as a follow up, I can't seem to figure out how to specify eviews to pick out the last variable to make as a line chart (b/c it is the sum of first three):
graph p2.bar(s) var1g var2g var3g varsF
p2.bar(l,a)
any help would be appreciated

p2.bar(l,a)
any help would be appreciated

Re: Bar(s)/mixed with line
EViews will either stack or draw a mixed graph, but not both at the same time.
Re: Bar(s)/mixed with line
Thanks Pamela. That's a shame though, as this is easy to do in excel.
What if I am not stacking, and instead choose to show a spike chart. Can I specify which variable to be my line in that line of multiple variables?

Re: Bar(s)/mixed with line
The first series will always be of the type you choose (spike, bar, or area), and the rest of the series will be lines.
Re: Bar(s)/mixed with line
Right, but I want to reverse that...instead of the rest being lines, I would like them to be bars or spikes and only one line. Is this possible?

Re: Bar(s)/mixed with line
No, unfortunately, that isn't possible. I can see that it would be useful; hopefully it will be included in EViews in the future.
Re: Bar(s)/mixed with line
Hi there, I am using Eviews 9.5 and would like to know if in recent versions of Eviews is possible to make a stacked bar chart (3 series) and include a 4th line. It is a chart in which I would like to draw a line with the growth rate of a given variable and then with bars the contributions to growth. Moreover, is it possible to do directly using a matrix object instead of a group?
