I have daily weather data and I want to create two monthly series from it: (1) Maximum temperature variable for each month and (2) Minimum temperature variable for each month. Does Eviews have any function where I enter the daily temperature data and it will pick the maximum and the minimum for each month, creating two separate monthly series?

Yes, create a new page with a monthly frequency. Copy the daily series to the monthly page, and use Paste Special.... Select min or max as the conversion method.
